James’s practice concentrates in litigating complicated, high-stakes and high-value matters in state and federal jurisdictions across the United States. From his experience representing corporations facing eight and nine figure damage claims to those whose alleged malfeasance garners international news coverage, James has honed a skill set comprised of aggressive and thoughtful representation to receive the best possible outcome for the client through a variety of forums, whether it is informal resolution, mediation, arbitration, or trial. Throughout his career, James has helped clients in a number of industries including construction, finance, energy, manufacturing and network marketing in addition to professionals facing malpractice claims in the legal, accounting, medical, engineering, architectural and insurance sectors. In conjunction with representing clients before the courts, James assists professionals in navigating issues before state licensing boards and federal criminal courts.
James is “AV” rated with Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded to attorneys for professional competence and ethics and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyer magazine on multiple occasions. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2004 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia in 2002. James is also the founding member and President of the Oklahoma Chapter of the University of Georgia Alumni Association as well as a member of the Oklahoma, Utah and Tulsa County Bar Associations, the Hudson-Hall-Wheaton Chapter of the American Inns of Court, Defense Research Institute and the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel.
James and his wife, Stephanie, are the proud parents of three (active) children and reside in Tulsa. When he is not rooting on his Bulldogs, James enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, hunting, and enjoying Grand Lake.
