Matthew J. Primm, Associate
Matt focuses his practice area on medical malpractice defense and appellate work. He likes taking on complex issues and working toward a resolution that meets his client’s goals. Matt’s background also includes almost a decade of working in Oklahoma tribal gaming.
While in law school, Matt gained practical experience working in the public and private sector both in Oklahoma and abroad. He interned as a criminal law clerk for Magistrate T. Lane Wilson in the Northern District of Oklahoma, clerked for a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury firm, and clerked for a local criminal defense attorney. In addition, Matt interned with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Dublin, Ireland.
Matt participated in three traveling moot court/mock trial teams at TU: the Native American Law Student Association appellate team, the Heath Law appellate team, and the National Trial Competition mock trial team. He and his partner advanced to the Sweet Sixteen nationally in two of those events.
Matt is a sports fan and covered Oklahoma State athletics as a journalist during his time in Stillwater. Matt and his wife, Candice, share their home with five rescue animals.
