Workers' Compensation

LKL has represented employers and insurance companies before the Court of Existing Claims and Workers' Compensation with a proactive and cost-effective approach in defense of claims.

We wrote the book on workers' compensation. With offices in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, we represent a variety of employers and insurance carriers, including self-insureds, with a client-focused approach to develop a plan of action to fit each individual company's needs. LKL represents many Tribal Nations and the Multiple Injury Trust Fund as well as a wide range of industries, big and small. We can offer our clients representation to address subrogation claims for injuries caused by negligent third parties as well as employment issues resulting from alleged retaliatory discharge.

We are aggressive in our defense of claims, striving to provide early resolution where it is possible and successful trial strategies where it is not. We give timely correspondence and reporting to our clients as well as offer free education and seminars.

When we said we wrote the book, we really mean it. We call it the “Pink Book,”  a comprehensive and easy-to-use reference guide that explains Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Law  effective for dates of injury from 2014 forward. This guide contains current case updates as well as several important helpful information to help our clients navigate the claim process. Upon request, we can also provide guides for claims going back to 2001. To request a copy of the “Pink Book”, please email your request here.

With over 50 years of combined experience, our team of workers' compensation attorneys offer a unique perspective to help our clients resolve their workers' compensation issues. From inception to closure, our team provide clients efficient claims management to help mitigate exposure with cost-saving outcomes. We have tried cases involving the most complex issues, breaking new legal ground in our inventive arguments. Our workers' compensation shareholder, Leah Keele, has been voted a "Super Lawyer" for many consecutive years; and lectures frequently on workers' compensation law.
